GRUB Tune Archive

GRUB tunes are little PC-speaker melodies that you can configure GRUB to play at boot.

You can write and test them with GRUB tune tester. All the ones listed here were written by me. Enjoy!

How to use?

Add the tune numbers to /etc/default.grub like this:

GRUB_INIT_TUNE="<numbers go here>"

Then, as root, run:

update-grub

Remember that booting pauses until the song is over. Setting the init tune to a super long jingle will only result in pain.
